Gekko Web Builder

Gekko Web Builder is a lightweight, extensible content management system platform for publishing websites, intranets, or blogs. It is written in PHP/MySQL. There was a custom version with Microsoft SQL as the backend and it is confirmed to work with small amount of modification. Gekko Web Builder requires almost no technical skill or HTML to operate. You can put contents of simple text, photos, multimedia documents, embed Youtube files, etc with ease.

Download latest version: v0.90ALPHA (Developer Preview). Please read the License.

To install it onto your web server, please point your web browser to http://yourservername.com//install/.

Gekko Web Builder has been tested and works with CPanel, Plesk, and EasyPHP (Windows). It should work with any Linux or Windows based server running PHP > 5.2 and MySQL.

Try the demo at http://gekkocms.babygekko.com. You can also view the backend at http://gekkocms.babygekko.com/admin (no password required, but write access and certain functionalities have been disabled)

Extendable API for 3rd-party Application Development. User Friendly URL Instead of using ? and = in the URL, URL can be automated to something like http://www.mywebsite.com/site/html/about_me.html	Simple website template. No need to learn special PHP programming to create the template. Just standard HTML with less than 6 predefined functions. If you already have an existing Joomla 1.x template, you can reuse it with minimal modifications. You can also customize your site template for phones (Nokia, Blackberry, etc).
